2. Timely Procurement of Raw Materials & Components
Procurement Planning: Coordinate with production and inventory teams to
forecast material needs.
Order Management: Place and track orders to ensure timely delivery, preventing
production delays.
3. Cost Reduction through Strategic Purchasing & Supplier Management
Cost Analysis: Analyse spending patterns to identify opportunities for cost
reduction.
Strategic Sourcing: Implement sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and
risk.
Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess supplier performance to ensure
compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
4. Inventory Management & Process Optimization
Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while
minimizing holding costs.
Process Improvement: Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency
and reduce cycle times.
5. Purchase Orders, Documentation & Supplier Payments
Order Accuracy: Ensure purchase orders are accurate and reflect agreed terms.
Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of purchases, contracts, and
communications.
Payment Coordination: Work with finance to ensure timely and accurate payment
to suppliers, maintaining positive relationships.
